Luongo On the Road Back

Take heart Canucks fans, goalie and captain Roberto Luongo might be on a quicker road to recovery than previously expected from the groin injury he incurred against Pittsburg back in November. Crossed fingers he’ll be up and running for the All Star game at the end of January, for which he currently holds the vote for the Western Conference net position. Jason Spezza scored his second career hat trick against Pittsburg on Saturday- in a win that continues to confirm the strength of the Senator’s top line. Most major news outlets point to it being his first. With 13 days of voting left for the 2009 NHL All-Star game, Sidney Crosby can not only pack his skates for Montreal, he's also earned himself a new record: The Penguins captain now holds the record for the most ballots received by one player in one season in the history of All-Star Game voting.
