Avalanche Sign Ex-Leaf Raycroft

The Colorado Avalanche announced today that they have signed Reebok goaltender Andrew Raycroft to a one-year contract. Raycroft has a career record of 82-80-26 with a goals against average of 2.87 and a save percentage of .900, he spent the past two seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

  i think colorado made a mistake getting raycroft becuse he cant play any more ever since he became a backup

  why would you do that come on. He is a backup not a starter big mistake. And i think that will come back and bit them.

  good deal raycroft needs a new team he hasnt shown how good he can be on toranto he needs a new team and hopefully will be a starter next year

  This is good for Andrew he had way to much pressure on him in Toronto. He`s got a real good chance for the starting job.

  Andrew was unbelievably bad in the Eastern Conference,havin seen him single handedly kill the Bruins playoff hopes year after year, what makes him think the the West will beany easier on them- especially in the division the Av's are in

  I am happy the leafs got rid of raycroft because he was not performing at his best at all last season.now he is the avs problem.

  i love all the avs players but i agree with alot of people the avs made a huge mistake with signing raycroft i dont think theodore and budaji are that bad y cant they just bring roy back from retierment
