The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Reebok goaltender Cristobal Huet to a four-year deal. Huet split the 07-08 campaign between Washington and Montreal finishing with a 32-14-6 record, a 2.32 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Huet has played 183 career games in the NHL. Overall, he has posted a record of 83-61-24, a 2.43 goals against average and a .918 save percentage.

I wonder if this spells the end for Khabibulin in Chicago.

Even if it is the end of Khabibulin... Last year was Nikolais onyl really good season but I wouldn't be suprised if he isn't resigned at the end of his contract.

i tink huet is getting a little old to start every game i think that Khabibulin will see a good portion of playing time this next year but huet will be named starter for the 08-09 season

Here is another guy from the east to go tame the west. I think he will have an easier time than Raycroft, but a deal with the Blackhawks? 4 Yrs? Rebuilding from the goalie up is not the way the NHL works... maybe he just wants to play in the winter classic...
