Phaneuf Named Cover Athlete of EA's NHL® 09 Game

Electronic Arts Inc. announced that Calgary Flames and Reebok Hockey defenseman Dion Phaneuf will be the cover athlete and spokesman for NHL® 09. Phaneuf was recently named to the 2008 NHL First All-Star Team and was a nominee for the 2007-2008 Norris Trophy. The physical young defenseman is a two-time All-Star who has put up 159 points thus far in his short NHL career.

  why him ossgood desvers it. he lead the wings to the cup to win come on. how does ossgood not desvers it. he was one of the best in the season or ovechkin desvers it with 65 goals.

  littletank ossgood is not that great and overchikin is awesome but also phaneuf desvers some kind of reconition for a good season i mean ovchicken is still a little overrated and so is crosby i mean there good players but overrated and plus the have to mix it up it can't be three or four players every year running for the cover

  Ovy was on the cover of NHL 07 and Neuf does deserve the attention seeing as he gets none in with Calgary cause its such a quite team and he is such a good all-round defensmen.
