The award, sponsored and presented by Carhartt, is given to a player for his hard work and individual dedication to commitment necessary to excel on the ice. In his seventh season playing in the NHL, Detroit’s Pavel Datysuk has racked up an outstanding 500 career points. His Wednesday night assist on a Henrik Zetterberg goal not only helped the Red Wings take the San Jose Sharks 4-1, it also tipped Datysuk’s stats over the notable benchmark. Martin Brodeur's return to the crease Thursday night was a triumphant one. Blocking all 24 shots to shut out the Colorado Avalanche, Brodeur helped the Devils rock a definitive win at 4-0.
