The Journey has begun!

On Saturday June 27th, 2009 from his hometown of Weston in Toronto, Mark John DeMontis began his journey. He will be inline skating over 5,000km and across five provinces en route to Vancouver, British Colombia. Along with his dedicated team, and your support Mark’s “Quest to the West” seeks to raise money and awareness for the sport of blind hockey—giving visually impaired youth the chance to learn and play our nations game. Through the establishment of learn-to-skate and hockey programs, Courage Canada will help give blind youth the opportunity to engage in organized sport and to learn the importance of being part of a team.
