The NHL playoffs are always about unsung heroes. During the second season everybody talks about putting their body on the line. What does that really mean? Well it means dishing out and taking hits and getting in front of pucks. This playoff season has been no different. So far, all 16 playoff teams have accounted for a total of 3477 hits, the Penguins have delivered a league-leading 311 of them. In terms of blocking shots, the Canadiens are setting the pace with an amazing 212 blocked shots, while the entire league has blocked a total of 1773. Thankfully, these players are very well protected.
More NHL players wear Reebok designed protective equipment than any other brand. In fact, approximately 60% of NHL players wear Reebok designed shoulder pads and an amazing 99% of NHL players wear Reebok designed shin pads. We are happy to play a small role in giving players the confidence to put their body on the line, especially in their quest for Lord Stanely's Cup.
