CHL Regional All-Star Teams Outfitted in New Reebok 8K FitLiteTM Helmets, Gloves & Pants; All Players in Challenge Sport Reebok Jerseys
Montreal, Quebec, January 23th - Reebok Hockey is making a spectacular entrance onto the hockey scene at the 2004 ADT Canada-Russia Challenge. Reebok Hockey's highly anticipated, first-ever 2005 product line, led by the lightest helmet ever developed, the 8K FitLite, as well as the amazingly comfortable 8K line of gloves and pants, is being worn exclusively by the Canadian Hockey League's (CHL) three regional All-Star teams (Western Hockey League (WHL), Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Quebec Junior Major Hockey League (QJMHL)).
While initial prototypes of the sought-after 2005 Reebok line debuted at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, the ADT Canada-Russia challenge serves as the official coming out party for the high-performance line of equipment. Designed using Reebok's trademark FitLite technology, the 8K helmet, gloves and pants are providing Teams WHL, OHL and QMJHL with the ultimate balance of ultra-lightweight gear that fits perfectly and moves with the player.
With its composite SubshellTM, Reebok's 8K Helmet is the lightest helmet ever developed. It also sets new standards for fit with its innovative MicrodialTM that provides a 360° customized fit. For its part, the 8K glove integrates a floating cuff roll that adds outward flexibility and improves range of motion, as well as the renowned JDP technology for ultimate protection. These features are only a few of the reasons why the new Reebok product line has debuted to rave reviews among CHL All-Star teams. The high level of product performance will be noticed and appreciated by all levels of hockey players.
"The launch of Reebok's first-ever line of hockey gear can only take place at an exciting and impactful venue, so the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge is the perfect event to debut the Reebok product line," said Yan Martin, Director of Marketing Communications, The Hockey Company. "The brilliance of the players competing in the event must be complemented by high-performance equipment and our new Reebok Hockey line is delivering that to the CHL All Star teams."
In addition to the 8K line of gloves, helmets and pants, Reebok's new 7K hockey stick is making its debut in the tournament with a significant amount of usage by the CHL and Russia All-Star teams. All players in the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge are sporting Reebok designed and manufactured jerseys and socks. Reebok hockey products will be available at retail in early 2005.
