Montreal, March 12, 2009 – Reebok Hockey will unveil its brand new 10K Sickick II stick to the general public this Friday, March 13th at the 20th annual Let’s Play Hockey Expo at St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center, home of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. The Exposition, the largest of its kind in the world, is held in conjunction with the Minnesota Boys State High School Hockey Tournament.
As of Friday, Expo visitors will have the chance to touch and feel the 10K stick through the use of two testing ranges. The stick’s benefits will be showcased via an accuracy-power shot range to demonstrate its quick response and explosive release, and a deke-and-dangle range for feel and control. Reebok will also hold a draw to win one of 12 sticks for those who will step up and try one out.
The new 10K is Reebok’s lightest ever stick, bringing to the market an unprecedented feel and control for quick response and an explosive shot every time. The new Sickick II construction gives the 10K increased stability and an ultra-low kick point enabling the puck to explode off the stick with a wicked-fast release. Reebok’s Pure Fiber technology allows the 10K to be their first stick with continuous carbon fibers running through the shaft to the tip of the blade for the ultimate in feel and puck control.
Currently being used by more than 90 players throughout the NHL including Pavel Datsyuk and Jason Spezza, the Reebok 10K stick will land in retail stores for mid-April 2009.
